Hard Start Problem Corrected
by alienriceball on 06-10-08 (09:28AM)
Pros:
Reprogramming has taken care of problem
Cons:
Problem with this model should have been addressed before resale
I just bought a used 2006 Suzuki Reno to discover that this model was plagued with the Cold Crank Problem. I took the car back to the dealer where it was put in for service.
The car was reprogramed to latest update, FB95P0 99 KM .4 TSB=TS 09 10056 and have since had no problems.
The Mechanics also have suggested that during the summer months, when gasoline is diluted with alcohol to use a better quality of gas. They suggest I switch to Chevron with Techron, if only for the summer months to keep the engine running more smoothly.
To date, the car starts right up and has been running without further complications.
Took the car in Saturday afternoon, had it back home Monday evening.

My 2006 Suzuki service experience with Sam Swope Suzuki
by courtney1717 on 05-03-09 (07:05PM)
Pros:
Color, gas milage, hatchback
Cons:
100,000 mile warranty
I am very unhappy about my purchase. When I first saw my Reno, April 2008, I fell in love with it. It was perfect–I was 8 months pregnant–it had 4 doors with the hatch back. The color was awesome (orange). I was so excited. The only two things I did not like was it was an automatic and had a sunroof. I would have rather have had a manual.
Anyway, I noticed the check engine light came on in the beginning of April of this year. My husband and I took the car to our local car shop to have the diagnostics done. The codes were P0700 and P0705, which were electrical. We thought the 100,000 warranty would cover this. He went ahead and topped off the fluids–we were planning a trip to Alabama on May 4th–and have the oil changed. I was very proud of my Reno, this is the only “new” car I have ever bought. I make sure to change the oil and keep it washed and looking beautiful. Even when friends would say things about the brand Suzuki, I would say that my car was awesome & the best car I’ve owned.
Then the bottom fell out. Just last week the engine light came on again. We took the car to Sam Swope Suzuki in Louisville Kentucky, again we had to have the diagnostics test ran. The codes listed before were cleared but everything else seemed to pop up. Every time Matt Cook called me, there was something else wrong that was NOT covered by my warranty. They had the car from Wednesday to Friday. The total bill was $930.90. When I picked up the car on Friday, Matt M. the service manager assured me the car was great & “like new & completely capable to make the nine hour drive to Alabama.”
Now, I am not trying to get sympathy, but I have just had surgery & was off work for 3months with a feeding tube, then after it was removed I missed more work, unpaid. My husband has been working overtime just to keep our heads above water, pay the house payment and normal bills. We also have an eleven and a half year old. So the near $1000 really hit our savings hard. We don’t have family to borrow from and we didn’t want to use our credit cards.
It is what it is, so we dealt with it. Then on Saturday (yesterday) the check engine light came on again. Now we are scheduled to leave for Alabama Monday at 3pm, and now I have to call Sam Swope Suzuki in the morning on the way to work and figure out what is wrong. I know this is the transmission because when we put the car in reverse, it jumps.
I am so sick to my stomach about this, with my past history, is not good. We paid 11k for this car, thinking we got a great car. I am extremely disappointed. I wish I would have bought another Honda, I’ve had two with over 300k miles on them and they were used. One was an 86 and the other was an 91. I never had trouble like this. If we were financially able to trade this car in, we would. It is a shame, I loved my car, now I just don’t know what to do. I will be mailing this and/or fax this with copies of the invoice. I guess we will see if you stand behind your cars or not.
Thank you for your time,
Courtney Wright

My Review of Sam Swope Infiniti:
Overall, I was very disappointed in my recent dealings with Sam Swope Infiniti Sales-Louisville Group. The G-35 test drive of the new vehicle went very well & the salesman appeared to be knowledgable & confident about his product. However, when it came to pricing, the salesman took 35 minutes to communicate the EPP quote back to me. Note, prior to this he was told this transaction would be a cash deal and via their Nissan Employee Participation Program. FYI, early in the negotiations our sales person acted very unprofessional toward another sales person right in front of this customer. This was a definite TURN OFF and should have been an early alert but unfortunately, I gave him benefit of the doubt. Toward the end, he finally took my BMW potential trade in to their "independent appraiser’s" and their offer was actually 2 1/2 times less than what I received at where I ending up purchashing a new car. Yes, I want to reiterate an insulting 2.5 TIMES LESS than what his competition offered. Overall, I was disappointed with this dealership and I have shared my experience with my family and friends. Needless to say, they all thanked me because they do not want the same arrogant and rude experience . Their dealership motto is "At Sam Swope’s You Never Walk Away." Trust me folks, do yourself a favor and don’t walk but RUN FAST TO THE PARKING LOT AND VISIT THIER Kentucky / Indiana / Tennessee competition. I did and was REWARDED with a fair deal and a quality new automobile.

My Review of Sam Swope Infiniti:
This review is in regards to a recent experience with the service department at Sam Swope Infiniti. I took the car while in town because I wasn’t getting answers regarding a noise when I was making right turns. Upon arrival I was helped by Jessica. She seemed to be unfriendly and like she was doing me a favor talking to me. I made mention of the noise I was getting with right turns and asked if she had heard of the complaint. My DC area dealer had many cases of the same thing and multiple cars in at the same time. There was recent mention of a fix and I wanted to see if the dealership could help me. They put it up on the rack and informed me that it would require a $400 brake job. The brakes were replaced when I purchased the car used but not with Infiniti pads. The brakes were fine but I was told the rubbing was coming from there. I doubt they even drove the car to duplicate the sound and insisted it was this that was wrong. Even if they were right the attitude and service level I received would make a Hyundai owner mad. My car is under factory warranty and I have a factory extended warranty as well. I was charged just over $36 for them to tell me it was something without properly listening to my complaint or reviewing the full case. When I was in an area away from an Infiniti dealer I would take the car to a Nissan dealership. I would avoid these guys at all costs.

At Louisville Cars we are not only here to offer you information on the local louisville car dealerships, but we are also here to help those local Louisville car dealerships offer information to you.
A local Kia dealer is offering a $500 internet buying discount. The stipulations are rather simple. If you go to www.kiastore.com then click on forms, you will see a internet discount form, simply just fill it out, print it off, and take it to the dealership with you.
WAIT!! There is also a $200 Referral coupon that you can take advantage of. This requires that you fill it out 24 hours before you go to the dealership. So if you are going to buy a car have your wife fill it out, or visa versa. The cool thing about this referral program is that you can do it as many times as you want. For every person you send to The Kia Store to buy a new car, or one of the best used cars Louisville has to offer, they will return the favor by sending you a check for $200.
Louisville Cars is all about putting you in the best position to buy a car. We do that buy recommending the most reputable dealers in Louisville. We feel that is is very important for our local car dealerships to maintain a certain level of customer service. They must be held accountable for their actions.
The other half to finding great deals on local cars is the vehicles themselves. Sometimes car dealerships get a great deal on a car and that deal can be carried over to the customer. If they buy a car cheap, they can sell it cheap. So in order to get the best deals on used cars in Louisville, Ky you must look at the individual car deals as well as the car dealer. So when you get a chance, drop over to Used Cars Louisville and see what kind of great deals we have for you.
