Lease A BMW Active E for Cheap

At Louisville cars we review a lot of car dealership and discuss a lot of cars, but we do not quite have a full understanding of the BWM Active E. The Active E is a fully electronic vehicle, so you can’t drive it in the rain (joke). It also does 0-60 in a whopping 9 seconds. Although I said in the previous article, I would not get excited about any cars that didn’t fly, so understand that while I am talking about the BMW Active E, I am not excited about it.

When we leased our 2009 Mini E, the trial for the BMW ActiveE (which will be the trial for a real production car set to be built eventually), the lease was a shocking $928.63/month. (DYSWIDT?) Early adopters of the far more practical, rear-drive ActiveE won’t be robbed nearly as blind coughing up only $499 per month on a 24-month loan with $2,250 down.

And owners of the new ActiveE won’t be nearly as worried about questionable range as we were in our Mini. The ActiveE features liquid heating and cooling of the battery packs — that can be activated while the vehicle is charging to get it to the sweet spot– to make sure 100 miles of range means 100 miles.

BMW said the ActiveE would hit 60 in 9 seconds but it “feels faster.” An engineer we spoke with said that the traction control on this car will be less slap-you-down than the Mini E, but could not confirm or deny the ability of full off.

So again, I am not excited about this, driving an electric car for $500 a month is cool, not putting gas in it is cool, but flying cars are better. I do not expect all Louisville used cars dealerships to be in a tickle me elmo esk riot in order to get an electric car. I would expect however for the Louisville BMW dealerships to do their darndest to get some instock.
