History of Company
When John Jones was a 13 year old teenager working at Gulf filling station in Greenville Indiana, he never envisioned that years later that he would be the owner of three General Motor stores and one pre-owned outlet in Southern Indiana. “There has always been something about cars that has fascinated me, and I never really thought about working in any other profession,” says Jones.
John Jones first opened John Jones GM City in 1983 in Salem, Indiana. He later opened John Jones GM City of Corydon in 1991 and John Jones GM City of Scottsburg in 2001. All three of these locations carry Chevrolet, Pontiac & Buick brands. The Salem location also carries Cadillac.
In 1999 John Jones Automotive Outlet was opened in Greenville Indiana, as a pre-owned vehicle location.
The John Jones Automotive Group emphasizes customer satisfaction and builds its business around this philosophy.
